Nomex Tubing for High-Temperature Electrical Insulation

WELLELE Nomex tubing is a wound electrical insulation sleeve made from identified Nomex aramid paper grades. It is supplied for motors, transformers, coils, lead insulation and high-temperature electrical assemblies where material identity and documentation matter.
Custom capability includes IDs of approximately 0.8-60 mm and wall builds of approximately 0.05-0.76 mm. Nomex 410, 411, 464 and 864 material directions can be reviewed according to the project, but availability, tube construction and documents must be confirmed for the selected grade.

Need to compare branded and generic paper options before requesting a quote? Use the Nomex vs aramid paper tubing selection guide.

Nomex  tubing Key capabilities

  • Identified Nomex paper-grade options
    • Custom ID approximately 0.8-60 mm
    • Custom wall approximately 0.05-0.76 mm
    • Material traceability and finished-tube inspection

Choose the Nomex grade by project requirement

The grade is selected from the drawing, electrical system, temperature, mechanical needs, exposure and document requirements.

Grade direction Typical selection reason Confirmation
Nomex 410 Dense general electrical insulation paper Grade, thickness and tube construction
Nomex 411 Lower-density/conformable paper direction Shrink or forming behavior and application
Nomex 464 Composite/laminate insulation direction Exact material construction and documents
Nomex 864 Mica-containing/high electrical stress direction Voltage, partial-discharge and system validation

Nomex tubing is used as a paper-based electrical insulation sleeve in motors, transformers, coils, lead protection and high-temperature assemblies. The grade, wall build, voltage condition, temperature and exposure must match the finished application

WELLELE can review Nomex 410, 411, 464 and 864 directions according to the project. Not every grade, paper thickness and tube size combination is automatically available. Confirm the drawing, grade requirement and document scope during quotation

Custom Nomex tubing capability covers approximately 0.8-60 mm ID and 0.05-0.76 mm wall. Exact sizes depend on paper grade, thickness, layers, overlap, roundness, cut length and tolerance.

Oil-exposed applications can be reviewed, but the oil type, temperature, exposure time, voltage, wall build, conditioning and acceptance test must be defined. A general material statement is not enough for approval.

Select Nomex tubing from the complete component dimensions, operating conditions, manufacturing process and acceptance criteria. Use samples to confirm fit and function before volume production.
